ABOUT SKYLAR

Skylar is an editor, creative and freelance writer living in New Jersey and working in New York City. He is currently a Senior Content Creative at Edelman New York.

With a focus on creative content through an editorial lens, Skylar has worked with leading brands to enhance their storytelling across multiple channels and formats. He’s created work that ranges from executive bylines and messaging frameworks to video scripts, campaign concepts and social copy. His prior experience as a magazine journalist has informed work for clients such as: GE, Dove Men+Care, Samsung, The Home Depot, eBay, BlackRock, Dos Equis, Bloomberg and more.

A graduate of Drake University’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Skylar’s previous roles include editor positions at Complex Media and Fast Company magazine. As a freelance writer, he has covered men’s fashion and lifestyle for Complex, High Snobiety, GQ, Esquire, Men’s Journal, WGSN, Fashionista, and Racked (Vox).
